Photography
I started my artistic career at the University of Louisville. I was
originally interested in photography, but the traditional methods
were too limited for me. I started a process of hand-coloring black
and white negatives with markers, then printed them in color.

This photo was taken while driving to a work
site near Bardstown, Kentucky. When coloring
the negative you have to remember the opposite
or complementary color will show when
the photograph is printed. If you leave the
negative as is then it will print sepia.

This was taken next to a fire hydrant in Louisville.
On the negative I colored the blackground black
so it would come out white in the print.

This photograph was taken of Old Faithful in
Yellowstone National Park. I was amazed that
most of the crowd was leaving before Old
Faithful completed its eruption.

This is a scan of a negative that is in the
same series as the photograph to the left.
