Embossed Paper Quilts |

My chosen media changed from photography to wallpaper, when I saw a relative use English embossed wallpaper on her living room walls. I bought several rolls and colored them with dyes and metallic paints. Inspired by Amish quilts, I created more modern quilt patterns using the embossed wallpaper. |

This was the second quilt I made and the first time using metallic paint. I dyed all the paper and pieced the quilt using the Log Cabin design. I added the red and metallic paints after the quilt was pieced together. My inspiration came from quilts that were made from left over scraps. |

On this quilt I purposely limited the amount of paint I was using. This helped me think of new ways to be creative with color and design. |

This was made from ribbons that a client's daughter won in horse shows. She was concerned that the name of the competition would show on each piece. Each piece of fabric represents one competition. There is over 350 pieces in this quilt. That's a lot of competitions. |
